OMG!  What a day.  Vaughan won the daily lottery yesterday and we all got to hike out to the Wave!  What a site.  Too many pictures to show you the place.  I'll have the slideshow up tomorrow.  Today I will put a few pics on here.  The drive there is over a rough dirt/rock/sand road for about 8 miles.  You park, then start hiking based on a few signs, pictures, rock formations to look forward, nothing is mapped or laid out like most trails.  Do people get lost?  They did in the past, but it might be a bit tougher now that they give you GPS coordinates, longitude and latitude that you can put into your Garmin, etc.  pretty neat.  The hike took about 2 hours out and 1 1/2 hours back.  Why so quick back?  Bad weather rolled in as we were finishing up taking pics and walking the Wave acreage.  High winds and rain.  Pretty crazy for the first 20 or so minutes of the storm system.  You can see a few pics of us bundled up with our rain ponchos secured tightly under our hats!  Not a pretty site, but it kept our core dry and warm.  With the storm came some cooler temps!

The Wave is unbelievable.  While not the most majestic of sites, when compared to the Grand Canyon, (my favorite OMG experience!), it is by far one of the best and most unique rock formations we've ever seen!  The shapes, the fins, the colors, etc. were amazing.  I hope you can get a sense of it through the pics we took.  We are planning on having one of our pics blown up and framed.  Very nice place.  Should be on everyone's bucket lists!

We are back safe, Vaughan's jeep is washed, our RV windshield is ready for a day of driving, all is good.  Even took care of a few RV repairs today.  There's always something to fix.  Shades need tightening, new toilet seat installed.  Yes, we actually broke the toilet seat a couple of weeks ago.  Since it is not something you can buy at a local home depot, we had to order it and have it shipped to one of our park locations.  Unfortunately for all of us, we had it sent to Escalante.  That is the location we had to skip because of Vaughan's having to leave to go back to work and me getting sick.  The part could not be rerouted, so we all drove to Escalante yesterday, a 240 mile round trip, to pick up our toilet seat!  I told you it's never a dull moment in an RV.

Tomorrow we start our three day drive to Sandpoint, Idaho.  Will be in touch then, unless something crazy comes up!
