I keep getting reminders of the difference between Florida and Idaho. Sea level in Florida, 6,000 feet above sea level here in Declo, Idaho. Flat lands in Florida, steep hills in Idaho! Today, we hiked in City of Rocks. I knew we were in for a tough hike after fifteen minutes we were still hiking "down" a path. I counted the steps up as we finished the hike, over 300 steps straight up. They called that section, the staircase! Go figure! Anyway, it was a great day, still cool, in the lower fifties, and very windy. But the sun shone all day long. First day in a long time, that the sun was out the entire day.
Lots to do here in South Central Idaho, more than we can do in the week's time we have. Tomorrow, more hiking in the Craters of the Moon National Park.
